Team Building
We’ve got two approaches to this - team-building and team-bonding. Our competitors often seem to confuse the two and offer team-building events that won’t meet that objective in the long term. A fun day out may be a great way to help people get on well together, but that isn’t team building, that’s bonding, different, but still a valuable pursuit.
Team bonding can be productive where new recruits join the team, or a new team is formed for a specific project. By facing challenges together, perhaps our Land & Sea Challenge or a Sailing Regatta, people will quickly settle into each other’s company and work through any minor personality differences. Having shared the experience and success of the event, they will take an energised team spirit back into the work place.
Team building is a little more scientific. We can set tasks that allow us to analyse and assess strengths and weaknesses in the group and at an individual level. From there, we can create events that will deal with the weak points and build on the strengths. Teams share in their own development and that adds to the power of the event. Full post event assessment lets you know how well the event has worked and gives you guidance for maintaining the powerful resource that you have created.
Consider your objectives, look through the events to choose which might suit your team and call us to discuss how far you want to go - it can be a rewarding journey!
