Innovate, motivate and… …see the machine work!
Your target: to have a working machine that once started, initiates a chain reaction of cogs spinning with a huge visual and auditory impact.
Successful completion of the challenges will earn the team the component parts, needed to construct their ‘Big Bertha!’ Once completed, all ‘Bertha’s!’ are put to the test when 10,000 marbles, of all colours, come pouring over the cogs causing the chain reaction that will raise their team’s flag!

Welcome, initial brief and positioning of the day. |

The teams take their copy of written brief and disseminates the information and begin to formulate their plans and split into sub teams. |

Activities commence. |
12.40 |
Lunch served in the Log Barn. |
13.40 |
The teams complete a further 2 challenges towards earning the remaining ‘cogs’. |
14.40 |
Now the team have all their ‘cogs’ they have one final big challenge – Photo Scrabble. Completion required in order to assemble their ‘Bertha!’ |
16.00 |
The teams build ‘Bertha!’ using all the materials they have gained during the day with each team contributing one stage to it. |
17.00 |
The moment of truth! 10,000 marbles come pouring down over their cogs, initiating the chain reaction that will raise their collective teams flag! |
