Powerwaves - Creative Event Management
Military style briefing

Operation I.O.W.

Completely refreshing! Overnight in an army barracks, pyrotechnics, high ropes and canoes - something for everyone.

Operation I.O.W is unlike any other event concept currently running in the corporate market place. Utilising the unique resource of the Isle of Wight, guests are flown in by helicopter, for the start of an exhilarating 24 hours, to a state of the art Military base on the North of the Island. Overnighting in the army barracks, the theme is very much back to basics with guests sharing bunks and a canteen breakfast adding realism to the programme. After waking to the bugle, the Powerwaves team will brief the likes of The Churchill's, Pattons and Storming Normans on the tasks that lie ahead. Set in 810 acres of SSSI ground (Special Site of Scientific Interest) incorporating woodland, lakes, open ground and wind swept high ground, the guests objective is to locate and execute each activity with the aid of ariel photographs, compasses and cryptic clues.

The tasks themselves incorporate the likes of a 13 metre high ropes course, the largest mobile Climbing Wall in the UK, SA80 Laser Rifle Training System as used by the military for Close Quarter Combat, Canadian Canoes, 15 metre Water Traverse, Mortar firing and a host of pyrotechnics and explosives throughout to sharpen the senses. The day ends with guests meeting at the waterside for a high speed extraction by RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) for an exhilarating 2 hour Treasure Hunt before making their way up Southampton water to either the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, or a awaiting coach for transport home.
