Canoe and Cycle Safari
It is within this unique environment of the New Forest that Powerwaves has devised an event that is quite simply, simple! A successful event that has been optimised for budgets around £100 + VAT per person.
Our oldest instinct is to explore. The Canoe & Cycle Safari will bring childhood memories flooding back! There is no better way to experience the forest than by going on an adventure that takes guests off road, down cycle tracks through sunlit leafy glades, created by the collapse of decaying giants and the savage strength of winter gales.
Canoeing down the stunning Beaulieu River, in open boat canoes traditionally associated with American Indians is a real adventure, exploring hidden creeks and backwaters. (The canoeing section is suitable for complete beginners – no experience necessary).
Whilst cycling, guests benefit from the beauty of The New Forest and the protection of a 40 mph speed limit on all roads. Using a combination of clues, maps and general knowledge, guests are tasked with navigating to a number of locations of strategic importance in an orienteering style challenge. Teams must provide photographic evidence of completion by using the digital camera provided in their team packs.
